How to use the estimator
Four steps from a blank page to an estimate ready for your client. Should take about five minutes the first time.
- 1
Enter the job details
Head to the Estimate tab and add each room. Pop in the wall sizes, ceiling height, and tick off the surfaces you're painting — walls, woodwork, ceilings. Flag anything tricky like heavy filling or stripping wallpaper so the time reflects the real work.
- 2
Review the time and price
The estimator works out the hours from your inputs and multiplies by your daily rate to give a price. Have a quick sanity check — does the time match what you'd quote off the top of your head? If not, the next step is for you.
- 3
Tune Timings and Your Edge
Every decorator works at a different pace. Open Timings to adjust the coverage rates (sqm per hour) so the maths matches how you actually work. Pop into Your Edge to set your win-odds — how often you land jobs at different price points.
- 4
Save or share with the client
Once you're happy, print the estimate, save it as a PDF, or send it straight to the client. Each job is saved to your account so you can come back and tweak it later.
